How KANIVA Was Born?

KANIVA is a story that originated from the Riveria Young Entrepreneurs concept in 2023. Janne, a versatile professional from various industries, and Katja, a clothing artisan and passionate craftsman, decided to join forces and skills to create something bold.

Katja, the site’s background developer and ideator, began contemplating the idea of an online store where she could potentially sell her products in the future, but they wanted more than just a traditional store. Janne, currently a student of information and communication technology and the site’s creator, brings diverse experience and insights from various industries, helping shape KANIVA into an innovative and user-friendly environment. He brought to life the vision of a platform that would connect artisans from across the EU.

With this vision, we also participated in the Draft Program entrepreneurship program. In October, we proudly opened KANIVA, a store aimed at craftsmen across the EU.

Janne and Katja have always believed that craftsmen can achieve more together than individually. They want to create a place where craftsmen can showcase their unique creations and share inspiration. We are open and eager to work with people of all nationalities because we believe that diversity enriches creativity.
